The VIP Author Recording Experience is the same audiobook, recorded in Perth over three days, with the rest of your author platform built around it.
You record in a professional studio, spend two hours on what the book does next, get a proper author photoshoot, and finish with dinner. Everything in the production package above is included.
Recording runs across all three days rather than in one long stretch. Your voice holds up better, and so does the book.

It depends on the length of the book and how fast you naturally read. As a guide, a 30,000-word book takes around six hours of recording and a 50,000-word book around ten. For VIP authors that's spread across the three days so you get breaks and your voice stays fresh.
We plan your schedule around your final manuscript before you arrive. If substantially more studio or production time is needed than agreed, we'll talk to you about it before any extra cost is incurred.
Perth, Western Australia. Recording is at Magic Studios in Victoria Park, five minutes from the city centre. We coordinate the rest of the three days.
No. You arrange and pay for travel and accommodation separately. We'll give you guidance to make planning your Perth stay straightforward.
Yes. A celebration dinner with Blake is part of the experience — a chance to step away from the studio and mark what you've done.

A 1.5-hour shoot to build a fresh set of author images for your website, socials, speaking profile, PR and book promotion. We confirm the details and deliverables with you beforehand.
The VIP experience includes behind-the-scenes capture during selected parts of the studio days. We'll confirm exactly what's being created and in what format before your recording dates.
Your audiobook goes into post-production: editing, audio cleanup, noise reduction, mastering, chapter splitting, corrections and pickups, and preparing the final files for distribution.
Everyone does, and it's fine. You're not expected to deliver a chapter perfectly in one take. Pauses, retakes and pickups are part of the process and it's all cleaned up afterwards.
Yes. If getting to Perth isn't practical, you record at a suitable studio in your own city and send the raw files to us for post-production.
Unless it's specifically in your quote, local studio hire and recording costs are separate. We coordinate the production and tell you exactly what the recording needs to meet before you start.
We confirm your dates through the booking process, subject to studio availability, and the balance is settled before your first studio day. We will walk you through the numbers and the terms on a call.
Because we reserve studio time and third-party suppliers, changes depend on availability and any costs already committed on your behalf. You'll get the booking and cancellation terms before you confirm.
Once your manuscript is finished or nearly there. Recording should be from the final approved manuscript so we can plan your sessions properly and avoid re-recording.
It's yours. Ownership, publishing and distribution are confirmed in your audiobook agreement before production starts, including the permissions we need to produce it on your behalf.
Most nonfiction works well in audio. Books with a lot of tables, diagrams, images, worksheets or footnotes may need adapting, and we'll go through anything like that with you before production.
